Are you ready to race for the second time at EL Dorado Park (area 3) in Long Beach CA Presenting the Parkinson's Inline Speed Skate Race, Oct. 7, 2007 DO NOT MISS THIS INLINE SPEED SKATE SKATE RACE!!!!!! This is a full length, half marathon event (8 laps = 13.84miles) There will be even more speed skaters there from out of town,more locals and even more racing action . Oh ya, we also have trophies or medals after. There will be refreshments after to munch on while the final results are tallied. Be there,or miss the inline speed skate race of the year! Now presenting for the 3rd time.... Parkinson's Open Road Race at EL Dorado Park, Oct. 4, 2009 (a half marathon 8 laps = 13.84 miles) The race time is 7 am, in area 3 where once again, the racers will go wheel to wheel to race for the finish! As always helmets, wrist guards required, other safety gear is your choice. YOU MUST BE AT THE PARK BY 5:30 AM (PARKING COST IS $7.00 PLEASE BRING EXACT CHANGE FOR THAT EARLY IN THE AM! The entrance to the race will be closed at 6:40 am. WE ONLY HAVE THE ROAD CLOSURE FOR 2 HOURS! There are 5 year age group categories for men and women. The age groups start at the from the youngest to the oldest 5-9,10-14,15-19,20-24,25-29,30-34,35-39,40-45,46-49,50-54,60-64,65-69,70 plus
Serious racing and lots of fun! (keep your helmets on!) Refreshments after the race!
PRE REGISTRATION IS STRONGLY SUGGESTED, this will help the promoter to know ahead of time how much food and refreshments to pre order etc.

Traveling North on the 405 fwy, Exit Palos Verde Ave, Right on E. Willow Left on Studebaker, Right on E. Spring St. (follow signs in park that say "skaters" )
Traveling North on 605 fwy Exit Katella Ave. Turn Left on Los Alamitos, Left on Spring St. Enter park on the right. The park entrance is on 7550 E SPRING ST. Once in park, follow signs that say "skaters" following winding road around the lake area (stay to the right) Just before the underpass, will be a barricade blocking the road, go past that barricade (before 6:30 am) and left at the stop sign to the parking lot.
