Thanks to all whom attended the 2nd Annual???
Parkinson's Open Road Race (Half Marathon) in EL Dorado Park, Long Beach Ca Oct. 7, 2007 AN INLINE SKATE RACE BY INLINE SKATERS FOR INLINE SKATERS AND ALL ABOUT ONLY INLINE SKATERS!
The race was great and a good time was had by all! Thanks to our many sponors and the chiropractors, relexology and massage people whom were there to tend to the inline skaters needs. No-one fell, well almost no-one fell, there were 2 small hic-ups but they got up skated away! Ok ,the mats were a bit spongy, but the timing was perfect! Plus the boat load of prizes, (did I mention we had product sponsors? :) We had Bont skates, Rollerblade skates, Staples (that was easy) Target, Wolf racing boots, Sk8force boots wheels frames to be available soon! De Feet, Eddy Metzger's Twin Cam Bearings, Bones bearings, Powell skateboard, lots of restaurants and more and more! The hard core inline racing, food and fun was had by all not mention perfect Southern California weather.
** race directors note for next year, the following rules will signed and be enforced:
NO 2 WAY RADIOS, NO EAR WIRED OR HAND HELD RADIOS WILL BE ALLOWED PERIOD. NEXT RACE EACH INLINE SKATER MUST BE ABLE TO KEEP TRACK OF HIS OR HER OWN LAPS. NO HELP FROM THE SIDE LINE COACHES with 2 WAY RADIOS PERIOD. TRAIN WITH YOUR COACHES, RACE ON YOUR OWN, THIS IS AN INLINE SKATE RACE NOT A TRAINING SESSION!
We had INLINE skaters pre registered from all over the USA including Arizonia, Northern California, Las Vegas, Riverside, Victorville, San Diego, Los Angeles, and Orange County, even went International this year with Ensenada BC Mexico,
